Oh. Well, in any case, no need to apologize. :)

Do you think it would be wise of me to learn Sorbian and Polish at the same time?

It's fine (and might help) as long as you continue to make sure that German and Polish are your focus languages.

That is how you stop lusting and start doing. In more ways than one. ;)

It might be kinda fun to play around with a Sorbian language in a semi-serious way. Like I'm doing with Irish.

Any preference on your end?

I hear Upper Sorbian sounds like Polish with a German accent. That could be fun.

Yeah, I have a Dear America diary where I think one of the characters speaks Sorbian, which makes her able to communicate with the main character, who's a Jewish girl from a village near Minsk (and thus speaks Yiddish and has some familiarity with Polish as well). :P

I had no idea that was what you meant. I guess not really, maybe a weak preference for Upper Sorbian. We can go with that if you like.

Ok, Mongolian it is! :D

Just kidding. Though I am digitalizing my tapes for my Mongolian textbooks, and, well I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this.....

I'll look over the two textbooks and see which seems easier for me to go though. It'll be a crawl either way, but we'll see which I feel will be less of a crawl.

Hmm, okay. I don't have either one yet. Meanwhile, I finally finished doing all the exercises Ser did for Biblical Hebrew, even though I haven't checked my answers to any of them yet. Yay!

Don't worry. You know the drill. The drive and all.

In other news, I'm tempted to go back to Munster Irish so that I can work through that Polish textbook. :P

So, you don't think Sorbian will interfere with my Polish?

At this early stage, not really, no. Besides, there are only so many resources for Sorbian anyway.

Eventually, I'll probably pick up the dictionaries and any grammars they have, but yeah there aren't that many of those either. :P (Plus that's done the road a good bit anyway.)

So how are your German and Polish going? Are you still planning on doing Sorbian?
