Are you focusing on MSA and also learning/trying to learn Egyptian Arabic? Sorry, I think you probably explained this before, but I don't remember now.

Honestly, I just want to understand the language. The problem is that with the existing diglossia, they are making it very difficult

I started learning MSA, but then I realised that it was not enough to understand what people were saying. So now I started learning Egyptian dialect (mostly because my teacher is Egyptian).

But I am not really focusing on anything. The other day I finished to watch the “Al Hayba” series which were in another dialect (Lebanese, I think :hmm: ), and from time to time I also watch some videos from Maghrebi youtubers because here, it’s the most common dialect. So I really don’t know. I just wish I could understand the language without so many complications

Is there some particular purpose that you wish you could understand Arabic for, or a particular spoken variety you wish you could understand? After all, even native speakers don't understand most varieties of Arabic! Maybe it could help to pick a spoken variety to try to learn alongside MSA and then try to learn the other varieties later? I think that's effectively what I've been doing at least.
