Not really, I don't think. :D I'd just say "I finished the Estonian language test" and omit "that I had to write," since you (Irusia) already mentioned that test before. If you didn't omit it, I'd replace "write" with "take."

Also, if you want Christian movies in English and Spanish, I'm sure you can find plenty of those on YouTube! See e.g. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... +cristiana and https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... ian+movies. :) And there's always "the Jesus film" in English and Spanish (I think this one is available in various accents, too).

Irusia wrote:[flag=]es[/flag] I'm looking for a good website with grammar explanations. My textbook is written entirely in Spanish, so I cannot use it.

My favorite textbook for beginners is Hugo's "Spanish in Three Months", which I believe you can find online. It's precisely the book I used a few years ago to start learning Spanish, and it gives a very good overview of both grammar and vocabulary while assuming no prior knowledge.

[flag=]fi[/flag] I bought the textbook "Soome keel iseõpijale" (in Estonian) and I'm planning to start soon.

[flag=]et[/flag] Ma olen vaadanud kahte osa saatest "Eesti kosmos". Varsti vaatan ka kolmandat.
Nüüd mul on samuti iga neljapäev eesti kirjanduse tund! Eelmisel tunnil me rääkisime rahvuslikust ärkamisajast ja lugesime Kristjan Jaak Petersoni, Lydia Koidula, Juhan Liivi ja Heiti Talviku luuletusi. Samuti rääkisime ka "Kalevipojast" ja muistenditest.
Reedeti meil on vestlustund ja esmaspäeviti õpime grammatikat. Eesti keele tunnid on mu lemmikud!

[flag=]es[/flag] I've started listening to a Spanish podcast for intermediate learners and also started reading an adaptation of "El cantar de mio Cid".

[flag=]fi[/flag] Mun ensimäinen lyhyt juttu suomeksi: Terve!

You still have "adaptated", which is technically acceptable, but so many orders of magnitude less common than "adapted" that I think most speakers would assume it's an error. (I know it's confusing that the deverbal noun corresponding to adapt is adaptation, but that's English for you.)

In Slavic languages object-omission is really common, but in English we tend to retain the it.

For Spanish I recommend Gabriel García Márquez. He has some short novels (100-150 pages) that are interesting and not too hard to understand. For instance, El coronel no tiene quien le escriba or Crónica de una muerte anunciada.

For Portuguese, just stay away from Paulo Coelho :blah:

For Spanish, "El mundo amarillo: Si crees en los sueños, ellos se crearán" by Albert Espinosa isn't the worst read. While I didn't like it all that much (I gave it 3/5), it's short and rather simple to read. Even if the topic usually doesn't appeal to you, it's worth checking out.
Please correct my mistakes!
