So, what do you have to study from for Cayuga and Aleut, Vijay? Obviously aside from the website I linked to upstream for Aleut.

And as much as I want to do Tlingit, I think that would be too much. I'll settle for Cayuga as my focus and a good portion of Aleut on the side.

Well, we both have three grammars for Aleut. I have nothing for Cayuga that I know of yet, though.

And I have hardcopies of probably at least one of the grammars you're talking about, plus the hardcopy of the textbook that the website is based on. The textbook has 15 lessons over all, if I remember correctly, so the website only does about a third of the book. The textbook is a good chunk of change (around 95$), so if we actually complete the web lessons, I might be willing to scan in later lessons for the purposes of group study.

For Cayuga, I can link you to two grammars later and I intend to use the following textbook: https://www.amazon.com/Wadewayestanih-T ... 500820016/
Which isn't a bad price at all, in my opinion. I can share the audio too, if the website doesn't have it.

If you can't get the hardcopy for whatever reason, I'm willing to scan it in for the purposes of a group study, but I'd prefer not to have to. :P

As promised, here are the two grammars I know about for Cayuga:
https://www.phon.ca/cayuga
http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/curriculum ... elang.html (the Oneida, Cayuga, Mohawk one under "Resource Documents")

Both of which are listed in the resource thread, I might add.

EDIT: Ok, so the Aleut book is only 85$. :P

Thirty dollars is a lot for a book when there's no guarantee I'll actually use it. :para:

I just found this, which is listed in the main resources thread, but also this, this, and this, which are not (if you'd like me to let you know as soon as I find anything else, I will; I'll probably just post it here).

What do you propose then? I really don't want the extra work of scanning something in at the moment.

Which is the website I was talking about. Maybe you'll have better luck emailing them for resources then I did, but I have come up dry every time I've tried emailing them to request audio or pdf resources.

but also this

Interesting. I may add that.

this, and this, which are not

To be honest, I've seen them both but was not particularly thrilled with them.

(if you'd like me to let you know as soon as I find anything else, I will; I'll probably just post it here).

Natürlich.

I propose just using up our online resources for the time being and crossing this bridge when we come (back) to it later. :P
Natürlich.

Alles klar. (Can't do it now because I have to go to work but I'll post anything I find :)).

Can you try seeing if you can get through the email and get some of the goodies they have at the cayugalangugae.ca website? If so, we'll have some good stuff to use. I'm particularly interested in the following myself:

Ǫdewayę́hsdahkwaˀ Beginner Cayuga Language PDF and audio

Dęˀhoˀdęˀ Niyaweˀǫh Neˀ Sweˀgeh / What We Did Back Then.

EDIT: Can I just say that I am in love with the prenominal prefix chart on the website.

Relax, I read all of your posts. I just take a while to respond to them because I try to actually use UniLang to study languages first (and post songs, no I did not sneakily edit this in at all!). :P

I'm most inclined towards Aleut, especially as it gets closer to winter!
