Oh.....no wonder I didn't recognize it....
He hasn't been around in forever, and I forgot what his old nick(s) where before he had it changed to Tenebrarum.

Well, his user name was still Tenebrarum, but people called him Dzwee sometimes as I understand it since that's closer to how his real name is pronounced, especially compared to how non-Vietnamese people usually try to pronounce it if they see it written out. :P

vijayjohn wrote:Yay, thanks! Now all I have to do is figure out how to go about actually doing that. :doggy: I mean, I could start a new blog and maybe make a guest post on Omniglot, but what would it be about? And not that many people read the Omniglot blog at this point. I'm on Reddit, too, but...as I understand it, advertising is against their rules (just like it is here), so maybe I should start a new sub there that's somehow connected with this blog?

Well there are plenty of polyglots who have started with advice on "how to learn a language" through their blog, books, etc. You could join them and do your own blog, and then eventually write a book. Also, advertising on here for paid products is against the rules. Linking to a (free) personal blog that's effectively a resource to help fellow language learners, isn't afaik.

That hasn't been my understanding so far; IME the mods don't particularly approve of people advertising their own website even if it's free. Besides, the idea is to use that blog to start my own business, not just as a free blog.

Still stalking from time to time (several months apart). No longer has much interest in conversation with people on the Internet, though. Getting older, less curious, and life's tiring.

Be that as it may, perhaps you can help us with something.

Oh, so that's how this suddenly happened!

And yeah, I don't think I'd want to promote or link to such a website on this forum. :P

Best of luck having Vijay actually stick to one language.

Hindi!! I'm not moving on to Indonesian right away. People have responded to some of my posts now and made some new threads, too, so I'll stick around long enough to post another response to each response at the very least for sure. :)

When I read your reply, I firstly thought you've decided to move on to Hindi, instead of Indonesian. And only later I realized that you said "no" in Tagalog.
I'm glad you decided to stay with Tagalog for longer.

Haha, I totally didn't realize that! I forget "yes" and (had forgotten) "no" in Tagalog, so I also thought he said he's moving on to Hindi, which is why I was confused by his next statement. :D

I remember when I first learned hindi in Tagalog (I think Vijay taught it to me), I was pleasantly amused at the coincidence.

I was, too!

So I moved on to the Indonesian subforum, and now, I might actually be almost ready to move on to Oirata (and Teiwa. I actually wrote this originally in the wrong TAC thread last week, I think :P).

Last night, I moved on from Oirata to Teiwa. Maybe today I'll move on again to Australian Kriol. My review of മയൂരസന്ദേശം has not been going well. My TAC updates have been pretty boring lately. :?
