It almost looks as if only Tús Maith or Buntús na Gaeilge were left as options for a compromise. :P

I do like Learning Irish, but I'd prefer to start with Colloquial Irish.

Wait until later, and then say that. Mwahahahaha.

EDIT: Come to think of it, do you have a copy of Colloquial Irish kevin? Or do I need to share with you too?

I'm even willing to go through Learning Irish after Colloquial Irish, if our study group lasts that long.

You're right that I don't have the Modern Hebrew textbook you have, but I do have a copy of Introduction to Biblical Hebrew by Lambdin!

I also have a copy of the Biblical textbook I've been using thus far to share, if that's any interest.

That's not to say I don't like Lambdin. In this case, I'm willing to go with whatever you choose. :P

I sent that for nothing. :silly:

Hm, sure, can't hurt to have it. Though I think I prefer using an actual physical book when I already have it here.

Vijay doesn't count? ;)

I'll send it to you so you can have a look.

I'm just as happy using Lambdin, but take a look and see which you like better.

Maybe we should do the numbers first so he can learn to count.

Okay, so I had a look, and at first sight it feels almost a bit like Duolingo as a book, if you know what I mean. Of course, it's more like analysing sentences rather than just translating them, but it seems to present only things that are necessary right now instead of giving an overview. That might make it nice second book, but for the start I think I prefer Lambdin's more systematic approach. (I just hope that the German edition doesn't diverge too much from the English one.)

Does that make sense or did I spend too little time with the Kittel book to characterise it correctly?

I also give my vote to Lambdin's textbook. (I'm joining the Biblical Hebrew group too.)

I'm not much of a Duolingo user, but otherwise you're right. I like Kittel because it gives actual Hebrew from the start, and is focused on reading more than on learning a bunch of grammar. :P

Whatever the case, I'm happy to review with Lambdin. :) I'll start a thread in the Hebrew subforum momentarily.
