As far as I know, news is always singular as a mass noun. Maybe that's a North American thing, though? Nowadays I'm not so sure about BE differences, but on this side of the Atlantic, we usually say "the news is...".

What do you mean by non-possible way? As far as I can tell, your sentence grammatically makes sense, but the meaning isn't apparent (at least to me).

I think she may have meant "in an impossible way" or "impossibly." Like, she's wanderlusting for certain languages in a way that's figuratively crazy or impossible.

Je voulais dire, " d'une façon que c'est pas possible...", so yes, like " in a impossible way " (figurative)
