Well, it's a fairly common way to write it as in "Dat [ting] doe" :P (ie, that [thing] though)

Hasn't mōdgethanc used it before?

Koko, how do I put it… it's not the first time you write things that are indecipherable to me. :P

Thanks! :)

EDIT: Listening to the whole thing again reminds me how hard it always was for me to do that whole thing where they sing the notes to the tune in the middle (and towards the end). It still is!

Yes!! I said a sentence a couple hours ago in Thai with perfect tone and everything! (maybe not final particle but…)

เขาแมวเล็กไหม
Isn't she a small cat? :?:

Anyways, it came out super smooth

Random Complaint: Why is the Thai font so stupidly tiny?!! :x

Never realised that English would pronounce it [doʊ] and [ɹɛɪ]... That feels simply wrong.

Well… how else would you have expected them to pronounce? :D
In China everything imported from the West is imported through English, so they are pronounced with the Chinese approximation of English pronunciation [toʊ̯] and [ɻu̯eɪ̯] in the North, [leɪ̯] in the South.

Well, I had never thought about it. And it seems that was the right thing to do. :D

You don't have to have a final particle there as long as you're using an informal register there, but isn't it supposed to be เขาเป็นแมวเล็กไหม? (Without the question mark, of course).

'Cause programmers are pretty Western-centric, I guess. This is also why if you ever take a look at Urdu in the Hindi/Urdu forum, you'll notice that's typically written in large font here on UniLang, too.

I thought that Thai worked like other Asian languages where the copula could be deleted :doggy: It lied to me for being Asian!!

Well, I could always be wrong, so maybe it's me who's "lying"! We should probably ask either a native speaker or someone like ling who knows Thai way better than I do. :)

I haven't seen ling on for a while though :(

EDIT: Apparently he was last on on the first, though, so who knows?
