French (fr) Curer => remove bits of food that were stuck between your teeth, mostly using a toothpick.

Comme "se curer les ongles" => remove bits of dirt that are stuck under your nails, if you've been doing some gardening or cooking with your bare hands for examples. You can also use a toothpick or any sharp tool.
Se laver les ongles : with a brush or something...

I would instead say "with the peel on," just like in French and (I guess) Hungarian. :)

American English (en-US) Yes, I eat apples with the peel on.

Canadian English (en-ca) Thanks for the correction. I meant to write marcherais, but I didn't realize promener is the better choice in this case. Also, I don't have a dog, but my sister and brother-in-law do. So I have a 'dog-niece'.

AFAIK 'to realize' in French is se rendre compte. I think it might also be ma sœur et mon beau-frère en ont.

AFAIK 'to realize' in French is se rendre compte. I think it might also be ma sœur et mon beau-frère en ont.

I thought perhaps imperfect, but decided against it because the reference is to the one action in the past. I totally forgot that se rendre compte is 'to realize', though you can also use s'apercevoir de if I recall correctly. I'm not sure why the pronoun should be en because it's a direct object (or accusative) pronoun.

If you say "dance on someone", it means to literally dance on top of their body.
