Well, maybe we can find a dictionary for Romanesco? I would think Qingtianese and Wenzhounese would be too difficult since you haven't studied any Sinitic languages.

Ok, so I've come up with 4 possible chains, including the 2 that have already been proposed.

1) English (dEhiN) -> Mandarin (Ser) -> Portuguese (OldBoring) -> Indonesian (Salajane) -> Cayuga (vijayjohn) -> Old English (księżycowy) -> Swedish (kevin) -> English (Car)

2) English (dEhiN) -> Spanish (Car) -> Indonesian (Salajane) -> Cayuga (vijayjohn) -> Old English (księżycowy) -> Latin (kevin) -> Mandarin (Ser) -> English (OldBoring)

3) English (dEhiN) -> Indonesian (Salajane) -> Cayuga (vijayjohn) -> Taiwanese Hokkien (księżycowy) -> Mandarin (OldBoring) -> Latin (Ser) -> Danish (kevin) -> English (Car)

4) English (dEhiN) -> French (Car) -> Latin (Ser) -> Romanesco (OldBoring) -> Indonesian (Salajane) -> Cayuga (vijayjohn) -> Old English (księżycowy) -> English (kevin)

Because of the uneven amount of players (so far), one language family is being used twice or more in each chain. In chain #1, we use Germanic twice; in chain #2, Romance is twice; in chain #3, Sinitic is twice; and in chain #4, Romance is thrice.

Let me know which chain you guys prefer, or if you would rather some other chain. Also, if we go with chain #3, then OldBoring, you need to be ok with translating from Taiwanese Hokkien in POJ. And if we go with chain #4, then we need to find a dictionary for Romanesco for Salajane to use.

I'm torn. I like the idea of translating into OE, but I also like the idea of doing it into Taiwanese!

It's either #2 or #3 for me. #4 has too many Romance languages in a row at the beginning and #1 has three Germanic languages at the end.

Maybe #2 is a bit nicer because it goes back and forth between IE and non-IE.

We're still waiting. It's only been 6 days, so Salajane has 4 more days.

So it's been 10 days and it seems like Salajane has been very busy. I just messaged her to see if that's the case. I'm thinking that if she is busy, we'll move on without her and I'll forward Car's Spanish translation to Vijay.

Ok I can do Arabic or Turkish too. I'd still prefer Kurmanji because it's a less studied language. (And Arabic is not so distant from the IE family syntax-wise, anyway).
