You just add any word that starts with the letter(s) found at the end of the previous word. Sometimes the words might be related in other ways (like in the word association games) but they don't have to be.

Oh I though it was supposed to be at least the last two letters, i.e 2-7. Whatever :)

Oh, I thought you were confused about the randomness of the meanings. Actually that one that was just one letter (kiek > kruidentheeën) threw me off too and then was followed by én > nyota but yeah, whatever. It is the reason I wrote my reply as "letter(s)" above when prior to those I would have said it should be two or more of the last "letters", but I don't really care. People can play how they want as long as it sticks to the basic concept of using the end of one word to start the next. Personally I usually try for the last three letters (or more) but sometimes it's just two. I think using just one letter makes the game too easy and not enough of a challenge, but that's just me.

I try not to reuse letters and the kie of kiek were all used in the previous round. (That's why I prefer longer words.)

Finnish: lausunto statement, verdict

FYI: coined by Reinhold von Becker in the 19th century from lausua - to say, to speak, to pronounce, to state; and -nto, a suffix that forms nouns
