How many are we ideally looking for?

More perhaps so to make two chains, in comparison to the other game. I guess I'll do the chain with what we have now, then.

The chains have been posted. When making the chains, organizers generally set some priorities... Traditionally that they must make sense and to favour diversity in the languages. Note how I've decided to scrap the rule of write-and-read in the same languages, partly to favour some diversity and partly to help some users who I put in the chains with languages they're pretty uncomfortable with, since I consider that reading them is easier than writing in them... Though of course, I can change the lists so these users may write in those languages as well, just speak up.

Okay, I'll keep checking this thread for updates. About when is it likely to start?

The game starts on Wednesday. And the texts do go simultaneously.

I don't know how those translation games work exactly, but I would like to participate.

the from japanese part wasn't so bad, but translating to russian was kinda hard cuz I'm still a beginner so I had to look up almost every word and had to constantly check different grammar references for case endings and whatnot

This text of the first chain was much easier to understand than the "green" BTG text (looking up 90% of the words in a dictionary). I hope my Swedish translation is comprehensible in spite of the bad grammar.

Yeah, had the same feeling, this text was much easier than the BTG... it could also be because I had to do Portuguese (which I understand pretty well) to Catalan (which I write pretty well).

More than enough time has passed and johnH still didn't send me the translation to German, so I'm gonna give the text to Muisje now. He can still do the final one from the other text if he wants to I guess.
