I can't believe this... The problem seemed to be solved, ILuvEire even talked about his translation as if it were finished, and still nothing. It would be a shame if he actually has finished it after more than a month and a week and we decided to skip him anyway. Maybe he can at least give us some more details on the process, or confirm that it's better to skip him?

Ik kin dit net leauwe... De swierrichheid is útiten, ILuvEire prate sels oer syn oersetting as wie it klear, en noch hieltyd neat. It soe begrutlik wêze at er syn oersetting yndie makke hat nei mear as in moanne en in wike en at wy him dan lykwols foarbypartsje soene. Faaks kin er teminsten wat mear details jaan oer it proses, of befêstigje dat it better is om him foarby te partsjen?

Of course ;) I am just starting to find an understudy right now, if he doesn't want to finish or can't ;)

I have lost interest and I no longer want to play and I will be very busy with college.

It is over a month since it has been on his hands and he hardly kept us updated and kept us waiting.

Indeed he simply ignores this thread, it appears. Just wait a little more, Supreemio: either he finishes soon or we skip him. And I'll be done in no time.

Yndie liket er dizze tried ienfâldichwei te negearjen. Wachtsje noch efkes, Supreemio: of hy sil it fluch âfmeitsje, of wy partsje him foarby. En ik sil yn in wûps klear wêze.

Holy ILuvEire! Wasn't the translation slow and clear? C'mon, finish that quickly so all of us can have our share of fun!

And how are we going to skip him? Maybe asking Formiko if he can make an Esperanto -> Italian translation?

I know 0 (zero) Esperanto, you could give it to me to try to figure out the meaning based on my native Spanish and English, and then use my Spanish grammar for Italian... if I wasn't in the list already. :)

This was a very interesting project...

It could work, Neqitan :hmm: If you would like to take on the challenge armed with a dictionary?

Yeah, it's alright. Then I can lol at how much the thing changed when I receive my Mandarin recording.

Esperanto is an auxlang with a vocabulary taken from French and Italian (mainly)***, shouldn't it be understandable readily for Spanish speaker? Also, the language uses cardinal vowels, and I'm already used to hear people pronounce them in their own weird ways as my language also has cardinal vowels. Vowels should be easier to recognize than Mandarin's at least, considering Mandarin /*e/ sounds like an unrounded o; or wait, probably it is an unrouinded /o/! The rest should be more straightforward, I think? Just after reading a sketch on Esperanto grammar.

***By the way, in another forum I expressed my difficulties to understand written Esperanto some time ago. Then, the members started to comment that that probably was because French and Italian were the most prestigious Romance languages in that time (actually, the member said in vogue), so Spanish was left aside. Some of the words I struggled with by then were actually calques of some French words, like quelqu'un and others.

As I told you, I know zero Esperanto and Italian, which will make things even more fun.

I updated my initial post with a new page for MP3 uploading a while ago. I need linguaholic to re-upload it.

Have you got any idea why ILE is being such an ass by not doing anything for over a month and a half and then simply avoiding this thread and PM's?

Hasto der in idee oer wêrom't ILE him sa as kloatpûde hâldt troch mear as oardeheal moanne neat te dwaan en dêrnei ienfâldichwei dizze tried en PM's te mijen?

No idea. I've seen this in other forums though, people promising to do something; and when they notice it's too much for them, they leave.

The worst part is that this seems so easy... He has no idea about all what I have experienced learning his language, English.

Sometimes the wrong way!

You shouldn't worry about making something ridiculous in front of a bunch of lingo-hobbyists. I have to do it everyday!  8-)
