**2018-10-02, 16:39**In italian there are special names for particular kind of (polinomial) equations of degree two, namely given a polinomial equation

We was wondering where those names come from, and the answer could maybe found also considering the existence of similar (o different) terminology in other languages.

**ax**whe call it (I use the italian names)^{2}+bx+c=0**pura**, when b=0 and so it becomes ax

^{2}+c=0 (pura=pure,neat,mere)

**spuria**, when c=0 and so it becomes ax

^{2}+bx=0 (spuria=spurious)

We was wondering where those names come from, and the answer could maybe found also considering the existence of similar (o different) terminology in other languages.
