"Schlaf in den Augen" is the term I know. The others are from Wikipedia.
"Schlafsand" is what the Sandmännchen ("little sand man") puts into your eyes. ;)

Medical English: rheum /ˈɹum/ (GA)
North American English: crust, sleep, eye-boggers/boogers
German: Schlaf in den Augen ("sleep in the eyes") / Schlafsand ("sleep sand") / Schlafkörnchen ("little sleep grains")

Salvadorian Spanish: chelito

Esperanto: dormgranoloj ("sleep grains") / okulgranoloj ("eye grains")

'Slaapkorrels' is what I've always said, I don't know how common it is. 'Slaapzand' is the same as in Germany, except here we usually call him 'Klaas Vaak' (don't ask me why  )
