toma and Emandir, those discussions should be held at the Projects and Resources forum, this thread here is for translations only, or else we'll start messing things up ;)

I'd like to inform we've got the Turkish Lesson 02 (it was right above ;)), but all other languages I listed 3 posts ago are still missing...

- Ja, hon är en flicka.
- Är John glad?
- Ja, han är väldigt glad.
- Är Mary också glad?
- Nej, hon är inte glad. Hon är arg.

- Är hon verkligen uttråkad?
- Ja, det är hon.
- Och var är John?
- John är här.
- Oh, just det. John är här. Är John och Mary vänner?
- Ja, de är vänner.
- Är de studenter?
- Ja, John är student, och Mary är också student.
- Finns det en skola i närheten?
- Ja, det finns det. Men varken John eller Mary är i skolan nu.
- Varför är de inte i skolan?
- Eftersom det är tidigt.
- Är det inte soligt?
- Jo, det är soligt. Men det är fortfarande tidigt.
- Okej. Vem är du, förresten?

There is already posted a Japanese version of lesson#2. It isn't quite the same?

(And I posted your version of lesson#3 hiro -- thanks!)

tomak, I'm afraid the translation not made by hiro is written in a different language level (i haven't checked, I just suppose that, japanese is a language with levels of politeness, ya know). If it was hiro who also did the first one, perhaps it would be better to replace lesson 02 with this one written by hiro.

Yes, do that, please. The first version was from me, but Hiro's is of course much better than mine. I also put that one in as Hiro didn't seem to be available.

And yes, Japanese IS a language with politeness levels...

I was almost sure it was yours, Kubi. Well, I'm not saying it's a matter of one being better than the other, just that if you started lesson 01 at one politeness level you should keep the others at the same politeness level, and it was hiro who did lesson 01, i think. Thanks for your help.

Indeed? Why?

Well, I'm not saying it's a matter of one being better than the other

Well, I would, in this case. After all, I learned the language for a while and am still pretty much a beginner, while Hiro is a native speaker. I guess here we can safely say that his version is better :)

(el) Greek

- Ποιος είναι αυτός;
- Είναι ο Γιάννης.
- Ποιος είναι ο Γιάννης;
- Ο Γιάννης είναι αγόρι.
- Και ποια είναι αυτή;
- Είναι η Μαρία.
- Είναι κορίτσι;
- Ναι, είναι κορίτσι.
- Είναι ευτυχισμένος ο Γιάννης;
- Ναι, είναι πολύ ευτυχισμένος.
- Κι η Μαρία είναι ευτυχισμένη;
- Όχι, δεν είναι ευτυχισμένη. Είναι θυμωμένη.
- Γιατί είναι θυμωμένη;
- Γιατί βαριέται.
- Βαριέται πραγματικά;
- Ναι, βαριέται.
- Και πού είναι ο Γιάννης;
- Ο Γιάννης είναι εδώ.
- Σωστά. Ο Γιάννης είναι εδώ. Είναι φίλοι ο Γιάννης κι η Μαρία;
- Ναι, είναι φίλοι.
- Είναι μαθητές;
- Ναι, ο Γιάννης είναι μαθητής, κι η Μαρία είναι μαθήτρια.
- Υπάρχει ένα σχολείο εδώ κοντά;
- Ναι, υπάρχει. Μα ο Γιάννης κι η Μαρία δεν είναι στο σχολείο τώρα.
- Γιατί δεν είναι στο σχολείο;
- Γιατί είναι νωρίς.
- Δεν έχει λιακάδα;
- Ναι, έχει λιακάδα. Μα είναι ακόμα νωρίς.
- Εντάξει. Ποιος είσαι, παρεμπιπτόντως;
