I have a question about the Yiddish translation:
Where's the schwa or the syllabic vowel in "s regnt"? Is it between N and T like in German [(ɛ)s ˈʁeːknətʰ], or between G and N like in the German noun [ˈʁeːgn̩] (rain)?

It's a syllabic nasal between the "g" and the "t": [s͡ ˈʁɛɡŋ̩t]. I'm no native speaker, so I'm not sure if it would be with an velar "n", but this comes most natural to me, so I transcribe it this way. Could be that a native speaker would pronounce a plain "n"...
