Eye dialect writing of English/ foreign accents in other languages

Postby Starbeam » 2020-01-26, 14:43

You know how English will mimic accented speech using carefully spelled words (like "zees" for "this")? Does that ever happen in other languages transcribing English or any other foreign language. In general i'm curious as to perceptions of grammatical and phonological mistakes of non-English languages, but I can't fit them all in a single thread.

I am aware this eye dialect stuff happens to differing dialects as well as differing languages, and I have seen a fair amount of examples of that; but that's generally not what I'm looking for.
I'm enby and go by they/them or whatever works in the languages i'm using.
