Oh my, such a rabbit hole this led me down...! All because your post made me think of (et) palitu and I just had to look into it....
(es) paletó (generally old-fashioned) suit jacket
(et) palitu overcoat, greatcoat
(vro) päľtu overcoat, greatcoat
(krl) palʹto jacket, coat
(de) Paletot overcoat, greatcoat
(en) paletot various types of loose or fitted overcoats and jackets
(fr) paletot jacket
(es) paletoque cape-like garment from the Middle Ages
(en) paltock short tunic worn beneath armor
(en) pall heavy cloth, shroud, or cloak
(la) pallium cloak
(la) palla a cloth covering fastened with brooches

Finnish also has palttoo meaning "overcoat", like the long kind that you won't see often in real life. I'm pretty sure I've heard my mum use it to refer to any kind of "funny clumsy coat", though, but she uses lots of words in weird ways that no one else uses them.

Sorry for replying to an old post...

(ca) bedoll birch
(ko) 버들 /petul/ willow

This is one of those short circuits in my brain that doesn't really make too much sense. The words don't sound much like each other ([bəˈð̞oʎ] vs [pʌ̹dɯɭ]) and the languages themselves couldn't be more different, yet whenever I see 버들 it takes me a moment to remember that it means "willow" and not "birch"--and that's despite the fact that I learned 버들 first!

Spanish (es) porra - club, baton, truncheon, night stick; thick churro; sweepstake
Portuguese (pt) porra - fuck (as in "what the fuck"), shit, (often worthless) thing/stuff (Wiktionary claims 'club' is also an archaic meaning for this word in Portuguese)
European Portuguese (pt-PT) porra - dick
Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) porra - cum
Spanish (es) ¡Porra! - No way!
Portuguese (pt) Porra! - Fuck!/Shit!
Linguaphile wrote:(es-AR) really; honestly; real; facts

I didn't know posta to mean 'really' was specifically an Argentine usage.

Thanks! :)
