For me, Korean sounds really sexy.
Especially when hearing a Korean woman speaking it in the news or broadcast.

It sounds really smooth and with hardly any tones.

Modern Greek and Spanish (Spain) are the sexiest languages!!

French is sexy when spoken by women.

I think, first of all, that for the most part Korean can be a very sexy language, I just don't like the continuous use of certain sentence endings (like angry koreans sometimes say ~yo! a lot... this is annoying not only in korean, but japanese too :) )

I am different than what it seems a lot of people seem to think...
never cared much for any scottish accent all that much...
although I do like the way German and Dutch sound...
and although I think it sounds royally screwed up... I love the sound of Danish... it just makes me laugh more than anything else though...

I do like the way Icelandic sounds though... I'd have to say this is probably one of my favorite sounding...

I've heard too much Japanese that I can no longer find it any better or worse sounding than English...

I've always thought Italian sounded interesting, as well as french, though I don't know if I'd really call them 'sexy' languages

Also, I think local spanish is one of the ugliest sounding languages around... although castilian spanish seems a bit more interesting...

I think portuguese sounds pretty sexy too... it sounds kind of like a french-russian or something...

Any language as spoken by a female.

Why are women so cute I have to drool whenever I see a specimen of them?
:hmm:
But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright Brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.

Ehr, that's new information for me. It means I am transsexual, right?

Arabic is erotic I think.
Especially when spoken by a sexy girl in an Arabic News Station.

I don't understand the appeal of French, but that's probably because I speak it. I do think it's funny that cussing someone out can sound romantic if you say it right.

Personally, if a strapping young fellow spoke Finnish or Swedish to me, I'd swoon :)

I've gotta agree with the OP, Icelandic is pretty dang sexy, looks and sound. ;)

I have the same feeling as Narbleh, I don't know why people like French so much, or Italian. :P

Amikeco wrote:Draven, there are several theories that Latin must have had nasal vowels. Would it still be cool for you? ;)

Even cooler  Latin's charm lies in its succinct and logical grammar. A few nasal vowels wouldn't kill, but quite the contrary, would even enrich the sound, as long as they're not overused like in French.

But those theories don't sound plausible to me. If Latin had had nasal vowels, then how come only the radical descendants (French, Portuguese) have them and not the more conservative ones (Italian, Romanian)?

Based on what I've read Classical Latin (which is not that different from the common spoken Latin in the 1st Century BC) word-final M had disappeared, nasalizing the previous vowel, so "Caesarem" was [kaessɐr̃ɛ]. Also, when a vowel followed by an /n/ was followed by another consonant the /n/ disappeared, nasalizing and lengthening the vowel, so "consul" was [k̃ɔːsʊɫ].

These nasalizations disappeared in Vulgar Latin, which is why Latin "Mensa" became Spanish "Mesa"). The loss of the final M nasalization contributed to the collapse of the case system.
