I had a long conversation about Spanish regionalisms with an Ecuadorian guy who likes languages.
That was way too many words in one go...
This
page has a number of Ecuadorian terms, but among those that are
not in that page, there's:
positrole 'so good, cool' (apparently a modification of
positivo)
ser de lo último /
ser de lo last 'to be the worst'
estar hecho verga 'to be shitfaced, very drunk'
triquear 'to smoke pot (marihuana)'
triquero 'pothead'
jeva '40+ year old woman; one's wife'
gabelarse [algo] 'to take [the last piece of something]' (as in,
me voy a gabelar el último juguete 'I'm gonna take the very last toy')
yeyo 'heart attack'
guacho 'a watch', but also 'heart' and even 'lottery ticket'!
¡Barájate! 'fuck off!'
meco 'a gay man'
sopa 'a gay man'
badea 'a gay man'
menestra 'a gay man'
chucha 'vagina; bad smell (from one's armpits)' (this word means 'female dog' in the Spanish of El Salvador)
pezuña 'bad smell (from one's feet)' (this word means 'hoof' in standard Spanish)
bolsuña 'bad smell (from one's testicles)' (from
bolsa 'bag')
It also turns out that Ecuadorians use
guineo for 'banana'! Just like Salvadorans!
