[flag=]fr[/flag] Pour moi, c'est toujours "to die of boredom". Ça n'exclut pas la possibilité que "to die out of boredom" est correct dans ton dialecte, księżycowy, mais si tu me le disais, il serait possible que je transforme en grand monstre vert de la normalisation. Hulk smashes!

[flag=]en-us[/flag] For me, it's always "to die of boredom". That doesn't mean "to die out of boredom" isn't correct in your dialect, księżycowy, but if you said it to me, I just might turn into the large green monster of prescriptivism. Hulk smashes!

Ahò, tacci vostri regà, ma possibbile ch'ogni vorta che scrivete in du' lingue, ce deve sta sempre l'inglese de mezzo? Ma vaffanculo, inglese! D'ora in poi scriverò sempre in du' lingue, ma senza l'inglese!

[flag=]fr[/flag] Merci pour l'explication sur les règles de l'usage de « à » et « de » .

[flag=]en-ca[/flag] Thanks for explaining the rule about when to use "à" versus "de".

[flag=]en[/flag]Anyway, I should have clarified in a better way what I meant with my previous post written in a vulgar way. I meant to say, what do you think about all the bilingual posts in this thread being English + another language? I rarely see pairs of language without English. With English translations always provided, will this thread become "less multilingual" and less celebrating "diversity"? Or do you prefer to always read an English version, so that people who don't know the other language also have the opportunity to understand and participate to the discussion? Or do you prefer a more challenging setting, where you're likely to read languages you don't understand, so you have the opportunity to try to make them up, e.g. by using your limited knowledge of those language or by using Google Translate or online dictionaries?
