Where did you look for it? It's not really an independent expression, it's just one of the postpositions بات کرنا tends to go with. In both cases it means "to talk".
On ho vas cercar?

When you open that subforum and see this topic pinned on top, it looks like this is supposed to be one of the forum rules or something. I don't think it's possible for someone to rewrite their messages every time and I don't think this is appropriate. I think it should be unpinned, in which case it will become just a regular topic like one of these "The Person Under Me"-like games.

(To respect the rules of that particular topic: / For at overholde reglerne om den her tråd:)

I didn't know where to post this, so I chose to put it here because it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else:

There is a weird (and apparently totally random) connection between "lixo" and "lixar" in Portuguese. According to Wikipedia, the origin of the word "lixar" is unknown. But I realised that one of the possible translations of "lixo" is "rubbish", and you can translate "lixar" as "rub" (well, a better translation would be "to sand", but it's almost the same so let's not ruin the theory! :P ). So I wanted to know what was the connection between "rub" and "rubbish" - there isn't one! Pretty weird, right?

Hi kuobareh, nice to meet you, and welcome to join us.
I originally just intended to ask you your feeling of walking in the forest. I am imagining the forests you've walked through might be quite different from the woods I walk through when I go hiking or mountain climbing here in Taiwan.

And then I find more that you are learning Sami's language. I happened to have recently read some knowledge about the ancient people starting from our Finn Unilanger Naava's introduction in her post.

Mandarin Chinese (zh)

American English (en-US) "...nice to meet you, and welcome to Unilang.

"Quite different" is perfectly acceptable in British English. "And then" and "the ancient people" are both perfectly fine, but they don't correspond very well to what you wrote in Chinese.
