/eɪtʃ/ is what I think Dormouse559 meant, so you two pronounce it pretty much the same way (I think).
I'm from the land of the mythical /hɛɪtʃ/

I find that I lust for Arabic in the summer and French in the winter, Chinese in the fall and Spanish in the spring. But now that I'm not doing Arabic, I think Hindi will replace it.

Because Classical Arabic does?

I remember I used to associate languages with different climes, but I guess I grew out of that. :P

As a child I was taught that "the rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain" and was devastated to find out this wasn't the case later on in life.

Not bad. I got wanderlust for Japanese this winter and Portuguese this spring even though I think it's more of a summer language. I think that and Hindi will be my projects for this summer.

Well well well...
I think I only visited this thread, at most, one time before.
But do you all know what is going on right now on the shore?
There is something of that I fully am secure
I just might be returning here for at least once more.

"SGP, can you please, pwetty pwease, get back to topic?"

Alright... you know you are a language nerd when...

You write some lines such as those three plus one in a row.
And when you simply call yourself SomehowGeekyPolyglot-o.
And when your language usage might seem to be trolling but this isn't the case
And when you t'ink of learning dem languij as not at all being inna a big maze.

You know you're a language nerd when you cringe or roll your eyes every time someone says language X is the hardest in the world (especially if it's an indo-european language).

What I meant is... people are saying that "all the time".
Just like "everybody speaks English". They also say it "all the time".
So if we would do some eye-rolling whenever someone says that... then we couldn't spend too much time on anything else. :D , but I do mean it.
