Hyvää päivää!
I hope this is the right thread to ask my question.
Although Finnish lacks some consonants that are not found in Hungarian (b (rare), cs, dz, dzs, g (rare) gy, ny, s (rare), ty, z, zs (rare)), it never ceases to trick my ears and I hear words or sentences that sound like gibberish Hungarian, but sometimes they make sense.
Just like in the vid (of Noora - one of my favourite metal singers) below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kODkwFP7TWoCould someone please write it down in Finnish what they are saying? I guess I could do the translation with Google Translate.
4:20.Noora: Kiitos paljon!
4:24.bald guy: Édes Nóra, … (= Dear Noora; at least to me sounds like that but what does he say actually? The way he pronounces Noora sounds also scarily the same like in Hungarian
)
0:56 I think she’s saying something like 'clap your hands', because the audience begins to clap, but what she’s saying there?
0:00 – 0:26: A wee bit longer part. I guess she explains a few things about the song that she is about to sing. The matarial has a nice melody or melodious, I understand 'hyvän melodia' means literally 'good melody', it is basically a classic heavy metal song.
Other than a few words and phrases like hyvä, vesi, käsi, rakastan sinua, I don't speak any Finnish, so I'd be happy if someone could help me outh with this. Kiitos!
