Blog problems

Postby Abavagada » 2010-01-24, 2:43

Someone might want to check the blog system. Its screwed up, with this:
"[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /blog/includes/blog_data.php on line 1127: Undefined offset: 1"
reported at the top.

It looks fine to me. Who else is experiencing this problem? It might just be your phpBB session.

Actually only developers see this notice. Aba's IP is simply still in the list, so he too saw it. It is an actual minor bug though. The fact that you didn't see it phaed was cause your IP apparently changed so you were not in the list yet, but I re-added you tonight as you know. By the way, you can always append ?debug=1 to pages to see debug info.

When I edit my blogs, I can't find the language option to indicate the language I want to. My last blog was posted under the language option "British English" but when I edited it, the option was gone. Can anyone fix it? :please!?:

I had that same problem back when I had more blog entries. I always just assumed that's how it's set-up.

The admins seem to not care at all.
Maybe we can all start a spamming campaign writing to all moderators of this forum about this problem? ... Daily?

I don't think that'd be helpful.

Sophie, I've already replied to your PM.

Proycon is the server administrator; he was the one who did the repairs to the forum after the server crash last year. I've emailed him and also posted a message to him on Facebook informing him of the problem with our blogs. Hopefully he's active on Facebook, if not UniLang. :)

Unfortunately, we forum admins can't do much, which includes this.
Please correct my mistakes!

Hi all—I've just returned after something of a hiatus, and I'd like to help if possible. I set up the blogs in the first place, and so it shouldn't be too difficult to fix. :)

As far as I can see all blog data is intact—only the method for viewing the blogs has been broken.

Sergio, are you able to connect to the CVS server? I'm getting timeouts.

Sorry for not responding sooner. The blogs have been down since the big crash and server move last summer. But as phaed, mentioned, all data is intact fortunately. So hang in there. I know everything is going rather slow, but we will either get it back up or find another way to send you all data. We definitely don't want precious data to get lost.

@phaed, I don't see your fixes in CVS yet. Do you still have trouble connecting to the CVS server? Your help in fixing the blog problem is much appreciated, as you indeed set it up in the first place and know more about it than I do.

@phaed: did we perhaps have a mod_rewrite rule active for the blogs? Clicking on them leads to 404s now.

Yes, I assume that's the problem. I'll PM you about CVS access.
