This is quite an interesting language, I must say. The last thing I need is another language on my plate...but it looks so attractive!

A pretty simple language as well. You should try it out one of these days.

A number of us are working on encoding Pahawh Hmong in Unicode. We are looking for experts... are any here?

No. It's very rare to find people who can actually read Phaj Hawj script.

People who know the script, in 2nd or 3rd Stage Revision. People who know what the various non-alphabetic characters are (such as some obscure ones found on a Stage 2 keyboard that no one can identify).

Technical review of the proposal, information about sorting (alphabetic order) expectations.

That sort of thing.

Yea, I know the script. I just don't know anything about the keyboard because I don't think it's ever been created.

It has. More than once!

There is one here and another one here. The second one has a number of characters we have yet to identify.

Hahaha, I am indee familiar with that site. That's actually where I learned how to read the script. I could help you out with it, but not right now. Just give me your information and stuff.

Just found a promising site if anyone's interested in learning some Hmong. They don't have much right now, but hopefully they'll get some stuff up soon!
http://hmonglessons.com/

You do have to register, but it's free (for the most part :?).

I have found great book about Hmong, in French.
The name is Elements de Grammaire Hmong Blanc.
It was not mentioned on here, but it seems quite a good book, for a language with not many resources.

There are a few Hmong resources here:
http://www.reninc.org/BOOKSHELF/bookshelfindex.html
Of particular interest should be the White Hmong Dialogues and White Hmong-English Dictionary. Actually I think the book you just referenced is there too.

And the White Hmong Lessons book is here:

I have found something interesting:

Old Hmong script!
Even Wikipedia has no article on it.

I found some funny youtube videos in Hmong. They are two "Hmong Songs in real Life" videos. And the first one has English subtitles for those that don't understand Hmong. :P

I had thought that the White Hmong-English Dictionary by Heimbach was out of print, but while searching for Indonesian and Filipino/Tagalog resources (just for the hell of it) I found it's still in print here:
