Sorry if it's been posted already, but I just stumbled upon this channel today and figured it might not be very well-known, given the generally low number of views their videos have. The channel is owned by a consortium of five colleges in Western Massachusetts and contains lots of videos about grammar in languages that are slightly off the beaten path (no Spanish or French here!). Persian is one of those languages.

Huge collection of audiobooks, apparently most are radio dramas, but you will find many in bookish style if you browse the category listing to the right.

Hello,

I am looking for a dictionary that has pronunciation included, since it's often not clear which vowels go where, and only the consonants are written. The closest I have to a solution at the moment is Hayyim's dictionary: http://dsal.uchicago.edu/dictionaries/hayyim/

However, it's somewhat problematic because you often need to read through many irrelevant entires until you find the transliteration of even simple words.
Does anybody know of a good solution to the pronunciation problem?

Yavar Dehghani's Persian-English/English-Persian Learner's Dictionary lists all words with Persian spelling, Roman transliteration, and English translation.

Have you tried Forvo? Forvo is a great website for hearing pronunciations of words that have been recorded by native speakers. You can type in any word to hear the pronunciation. They have lots of different languages on Forvo, including Persian.

If the word you want is not currently on the website, just add it and request that somebody record it for you. You can also add whole sentences (as opposed to individual words) and ask that a native speaker record them for you, too.
