Hello, my name is Borja, I'm an estudent of Lingüsitics and Aplications at the UCM (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
This term I have a subject called Tipology, and for the final exam we have to do a dissertation about a foreign lenguage covering the following aspects: Introduction, typological morphology, gender and the one who's driving me mad, Morphosyntactic alignment.
I'm having a really bad time trying to figure out wich type of language is Afrikaans, I can't find any examples or information about it. I've been working with a gramatic called "A Grammar of Afrikaans" wrote by Bruce C. Donaldson, but it's quite old and I think it's a bit outdated.
Could you help me to solve my problem? I just need a little explanation about it and some examples on both verbs, transitive and intransitive.
If anyone knows spanish i can send you my dissertation so you can read it and see what is about.
Dankie, and sorry for my bad english
