Can someone tell me how to pronounce these phrases?

Postby charlotteh » 2006-01-07, 15:12

As frequent browsers of this forum may have noticed, I am writing a book involving lots of rather crude phrases, so please don't be offended by these or think me odd!
A si za fuk?
Ali bi spala z mano?
Ja, se vidva zunaj cez 10 minut
Ne, spizdi perverznes

Also, could you tell me how to spell '10' and pronounce that?
Thanks very much!

According to French prononciation:

charlotteh wrote:A si za fuk?---> [a-si-za-fouk]
Ali bi spala z mano?---> [ali-bi-spala-zmano]
Ja, se vidva zunaj cez 10 minut---> [ya-se-vidva-zunay-tsez-deset-minut]
Ne, spizdi perverznes---> [Ne-spizdi-perverznes]

I like the last one! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Just a few corrections in writing: ... you are mixing slang with standard Slovene, so which one should I use?

Standard:

Ali si za fuk?
Ali bi spala z mano?
Ja, se vidiva zunaj čez deset minut.
Ne, "spizdi", perverznež!

Slang of Ljubljana:
A' s' za fuk? /as-za-fook/
A' b' spala z mano? /ab-spala-zmano/
Ja, se vid'va zun(i) čez deset minut. /ja--se-veedva-zoon(y)-ches-deset-meenoot/
Ne, "spizdi", perverznež! /ne--speezdy-perverznesh/

I'm afraid I'm not good enough in English vocalisation. Many times I don't agree with it when I'm reading Slovene-English phrase books. :oops:
