Ateşbaşı:This word doesn't mean anything by its own. It consists of two seperate words 'Ateş'(fire) and 'Baş'(head). Apparently, this phrase is derived to constitute some group of people who stand for a certain feature in common. You can deduce what the author means with this phrase from the context.
İstercesine:This is a complex word which is extended with the excessive usage of suffixes. The meaning is "As if s/he wants...". "Diyor biri kendini ve ateşbaşı insanlarını yüreklendirmek istercesine" means "Someone says it as if s/he wants to encourage the 'ateşbaşı" people".
Umursamıyormuş-Küçümsüyormuş gibi:These two is constructed by means of the same pattern. "Umursamıyormuş gibi" means "As if s/he doesn't care", "Küçümsüyormuş gibi" means "As if s/he looks down upon".

I don't quite understand several sentences, though. Not that they are meaningless, but i need the whole text to make them out in a logical way.

Thanks a lot. I would be extremely happy if someone could explain to me more in detail the way the word ïstercesine"is constructed.

There's a suffix -cesine that means "as if" and according to my grammar gets added to the aorist stem (geniş zaman) like in this case with ister-, or to something ending in -miş. It looks like it could be broken down further (-ce-sin-e so the dative of something with possessive suffix??), but my grammar just treats it as a single suffix.

I rely on "Turkish Grammar" by G. L. Lewis and "Turkish, A Comprehensive Grammar" by A. Göksel and C. Kerslake.
