Merhaba! Turkceyi ogremek istiyorum!
( i know that that lacks some diacritics)

Hey, there are two Turkish girls in one of my college classes, and I'd like to ask them (in Turkish) if they could help me learn Turkish.

Thanks!
I'm back! I used to "unilang" all the time, years ago! Nice to see old avatars still around!

American English, native. Mexican Spanish, well. Turkish, pretty well. German, not bad. Irish, working on it. French, passable. Dutch elementary. Interested in learning Breton, Welsh, Cornish, at least being familiar with Scots Gaelic, Ojibwe bits and pieces, that kind of stuff. I'm all over the place.

Hoşgeldin!

Türkçeyi öğrenmek istiyorum is also correct but "türkçe öğrenmek istiyorum" is better.

Ah, thanks for the corrections! It went off quite well. People really love it when they hear their home tongue from unexpected sources :D

Well, all I could say to them was "Merhaba", and then "Turkceyi ogrenmek istiyorum". They were quite pleased with that little bit.

BUT, I still don't know how to say "Could you help me learn Turkish", which is what I really need. Then, I may be able to report on if they will help me or not.

And they are really nice girls, and pretty good-looking too :)

"Türkçe öğrenmeme yardım edebilir misiniz?"
misin/mısın are written seperately but are not spoken seperately. Think it as "edebilirmisiniz" or you can also write "edebilirmisiniz", that's what lots of Turkish people make mistakes about.

My next class with them is this coming Tuesday, so it will be little while until I can tell you how it goes.

Bugünden itibaren Türkçe yazmak deneyeceğim, tabii dışında şüphelerim!, mademki sadece uygulamayle ilerlemek edebileceğim. :o

use "demek ki" instead of mademki.

and i couldn't understand what you meant by saying "tabii dışında şüphelerim"

[s]ilerlemek edebileceğim[/s] : ilerleyebileceğim is correct one.

You needn't have written ''anlamına geldim''.

You should have written ''demek istedim''. :)
