How does one say in Indonesian: "You are the light of my eyes and the joy of my heart"; "I love you"; and "This is for you" (context: giving a present).

Also, if there perhaps exists a different poetic formula than the one in my first sentence, could someone please tell me what it is?

You are the light of my eyes and the joy of my heart = Kamu adalah cahaya mataku dan kebahagiaan hatiku.
I love you = Aku cinta kamu
This is for you = ini buat kamu

well, regarding your second question, let me give you my suggestion. You can also say "Kamu adalah cahaya hatiku (meaning, you are the light of my heart)". But actually, some Indonesian girls don't really like sentences which are too poetic But some girls like it though

Cinta is love, as in a romantic love. You would use this with your Pacar (boyfriend, girlfriend) but not with your parents (unless you swing that way?!)
To tell family members or close friends you love them, use Sayang. Saya sayang kamu, is a love that is still emotional, but doesn't hold the romantic connotations that Cinta does.
