Yup. The "så" bit means "so", but it might sound more natural to omit it in English like you did.

I actually started with Danish last year, but after being in Norway last summer and finding out how nice the language sounds, and how easy it is to understand, at least in its written form, I switched to Norwegian. It was a bit hard for me in light of the pronunciation, because even though written Norwegian is very similar to Danish, it is pronounced really differently. But I'm getting along. 8)

I tried to read Swedish, but it seems to be really different.
