Ĉu iu tie ĉi legis la esperantan tradukon de Hari Poter?
Ĉu iu scias kial Rowling ne permesis ĝin?

They are devaluing the brand, and it is impossible to have quality translations due to no Esperanto publishing industry existing.

What do do you mean by "devaluing the brand"? And what makes you believe "it is impossible to have quality translations"? Good Esperanto writer exists. They also published an Ancient Greek translation; do you think an Ancient Greek "publishing industry" exists?

The HP franchise should be translated only by authorised publishers which control the quality of the final product. That's the author's idea about her brand integrity.
Good Esperanto writer exists.
Esperanto books are not read much, so it is hard to say whether a writer is good or not. As a rule, the larger is the midden, the higher is the chance to find the proverbial pearl.

1) It was a limited license for the first book only and 2) it was intended as the extracurricular reading material for classic language students. The publishing house is reputable, as is the translator. We cannot draw any parallels here, I'm afraid.
