Questo [quésto] lo dici tu :)

In Standard Italian:

venti ['vɛnti] ''winds''
venti ['venti] ''twenty''

corso ['kɔɾso] ''Corsican''
corso ['koɾso] ''course''

Unless you're opting for a Torinese or Pugliese accents (which are like Italian versions of Souse and Cockney), most Italian accents have 7 stressed vowels (although their distribution may not always correspond to the Standard Italian pronunciation, based on the Tuscan variant, but Spanish-styled 5 vowel pronunciation of Italian more often than not means: accented Italian: It's like pronouncing both and bought the same, common in Indian English  )

even in Milan

if you pronounced
morto ['moɾto ] instead of ['mɔɾto ]
Roma ['rɔma] instead of ['roma ]
diverso [di'veɾso] instead of [di'vɛɾso]
your accent would sound strange to the locals

I think you should learn the standard pronunciation first, and after that,
you can venture into the rich world of dialects.

Tutto chiaro? :P
Se la pronuncia d'italiano fosse così facile , non ci sarebbero tanti córsi di dizione. :)

Hai ragione. Tanti studenti della lingua italiana non si accorgono di questa peculiarità a prima vista. (Bé io sono semi-studente ma già ho la formazione basica da dialetto abruzzese.)
