Next week, September 23 through September 29, is
Estonian Language Week (Eesti keele nädal)!
To help you celebrate this event that I didn't even know existed, here are some new links - courses, games, and information. Two of the links even have contests with prizes! And access codes for free study materials!
Keeletee e-course (intermediate-level course)
Eesti keele õppemäng Käämuk (exercises for object cases/sihitis)
Sihitisesõnastik ASP (glossary for objects/sihitis)
Õpime käändeid (self-test/game for learning case forms)
Eesti keele postkaardid (vocab for beginners) & in
pdf formatSõnasarnasuse mäng: eesti sünonüümid (synonym matching game)
Estonian Tryouts (pronunciation of words; requires microphone)
keelEST Newsletter (at the moment, just a few of these links, but it's new, so it looks like a good site to watch)
Eesti keele nädal (about Estonian Language Week)
For anyone looking for a comprehensive online course, I'd recommend
Keeleklikk for beginners (A0-A2) and
Keeletee for intermediate learners (B1+). Both require registration, but it's free - the registration just allows you to keep track of your own progress, etc. For both of them, there is a real live teacher you can interact with who will correct your work and correspond with you. It's rare to find a comprehensive program that will offer that for free!
You can also add yourself to a map of Estonian language learners
here. The Estonian Language Institute is hoping to reach three million Estonian learners/speakers for Estonian Language Week; let's help them reach that goal.
