I watched a documentary about Romania lately and I got the chance to hear it for the very first time. It sounds really nice. The day I decide to learn another latin language, I´ll pick Romanian.

I hate the way Italian sounds, and Romanian sounds nice because of all those "ch" sounds that make it special.

Romanian is on my 'to learn' list, and I choose a language to study by 1) the way it sounds and 2) my personal affinity to its people and culture. Romanian sounds fantastic... but to be sincere I like its Moldovan variation more. ;)

Difficult (for its irregular grammar).

I have always loved how Slavic Romanian sounds. Well, not always... the very first time I heard it, I thought it sounded like Spanish (a language I don't like). But that changed quickly, especially when I started learning it myself. Also, I have been in love with the sound of Russian for a long time, which I never got around to learning, so Romanian is my substitute.

I certainly feel that it is more difficult than French, but easier than Russian.... in terms of the grammar. Perhaps that is partly because there are few resources for learning Romanian grammar. But yes, it is somewhat irregular (verbs, de exemplu)... this I find challenging. Most of all, the cases and pronouns! Fifty ways to say this, that, these, and those!

I like how Romanian sounds.
Once I saw a movie where people speak in Romanian at the beginning, then I didn't know what language it was, and it sounded like a Slavic language to me. Later I found out it was Romanian, but really, to me Romanian sounds more Slavic than Romance. (But I like Slavic languages, so I like how Romanian sounds :-) )

I like the way Romanian sounds.

Too bad I didn't have audio help when I was learning it last decade.

It sounds so distinctive.

I attended one lesson at the Romanian course (had no time to go on :( ) and living in a neighbouring country I hear it every now and then.
Well, it is really a mixture between Slavic and Romance languages for me. Separate words are rather Slavic-sounding but a whole sentence is already Romance-like. Not always though.

It is very distinctive. I can't really compare it to anything else.

Beautifully exotic and solemnly archaic! I just love it! The fact that I can get the gist of some sentences even though it sounds so different from Spanish and other Romance languages is enough for me to be crazy about it.

For me Romanian sounds like a sort of Neapoletan combined with Sardinian with some Italian sounds and some Bulgarian words!Believe me if you think that Romanian sounds slavic then you havent studied the latin-romanian sounds changes,it has occured like spanish and italian combined with Neapoletan and rest of the words remained similar with sardinian.just have a look at European Portuguese i always though it was russian when i heard that language.Aslo what do you guys think about Aromanian?:) or you havent heard about this language?
