Part Finnish song

Postby OldBoring » 2013-05-19, 15:16

Hei!
From the Song Contest of May:

蒿子秆儿 wrote:[flag]wuu[/flag] Wu, Wenzhounese + [flag]fi[/flag] Finnish: 思焉 - 怎么办

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oylJ-9A0iI

Wenzhounese part lyrics

Finnish part (from 3:01 to 3:54) lyrics (don't know if they are right):

tiedan en oo taydellien lapsi maailmassa pieni viaton lapsi oon aina unelmissa elama ei oo leikkii enaan muuttunu todemmaksi joka perhees on nykyaan lapsiakin kaksi lapsia on ollu aina kaiken laisii i niit on hakattu ku ne vaan himas leikkii aiti huutaa taustalla et meen hankkii toita emma sua taalla loppu ikaas asti syota heraan joka paiva ajatuksena et kuolen kaikkee pitais tehda ennen ku ma lahden frendejakin on ja niita ma vaan saalin oikeit frendeja on ja niita kaymas vahiin ne veljet/siskot jotka mua jaksaa aina tukee ne kiitoksensa saa, se haudassa se lukee | elama on lyhyt siita pitaa nauttii s kaikkee pitais kokeilla kokemusta hankkii turha on teijan tulla elaamamme haukuu lahtiessa ovet perras aina vaan paukkuu nuoret on viisaita mita ne haluu I **** the world and all...ya ***** too.

It's an original song written and performed by a Chinese immigrant in Finland, a fellowman of mine. He sings in my native Chinese dialect (Wenzhounese) with a little part in Finnish (from 3:01 to 3:54).

Can you listen to his song, and tell me how is his Finnish pronunciation? :)
Also, I found the above lyrics, are they correct?

Thanks. :)

P. S. Is there anybody so kind to translate it? Thank you very much!

Cool! :) His Finnish sounds pretty much native to me in this context, I couldn't tell if he's not.

The lyrics are mostly correct, but they made a few mistakes. Also, all the ä's are a's.

If nobody else has by then, I can translate it tomorrow at work when the customer service desk is empty.

Thank you, Varislintu!
Nice, I would have expected that he has a strong foreign accent.
Ah, those Chinese that ignore diacritics...

I wish I could also go to Unilang in my office, but even scrolling and typing takes delay in the browser there...

That must be quite annoying.

I forgot, of course, that I can't listen to audio here at work, so I can't find the errors in the translation. Maybe it's best I do it later at home, no point translating the errors. :)

Wow, sorry, I must have totally forgotten! :para:  Here you go :D :

tiedän en oo täydellinen lapsi maailmassa
pieni viaton lapsi oon aina unelmissa
elämä ei oo leikkii vaan muuttuu todemmaksi
joka perhees nykyään on lapsiakin kaksi
lapsia on ollu aina kaiken laisii
turha on teijän tulla elämäämme haukuu
lähtiessä ovet peräs aina vaan paukkuu
nuoret on viisaita mitä ne haluu
I **** the world and all...ya ***** too.

There are a couple plain grammatical errors as well, but to be honest they might not be because he's an immigrant, but because he's young and young people for some reason sometimes don't get grammar right (I dunno, I never had a problem but I know my native friends sometimes did...). :P

Nawh, some of them were Finland-Swedes too. :P

But now I realise you asked for a translation, too -- here you are!

I know I'm not a perfect child of this world
I remain a small innocent child in my dreams
Life is no game, it becomes more real
Every family nowadays even has two children

There have always been all kinds of children
They've been beaten just for being around the house and playing
Mom shouts in the background to get a job
"I'm not feeding you for the rest of your life"

I wake up every day to the thought that I'll die
So much things to do before I leave
I have some friends and I feel sorry for them
I have some real friends and they're running out

The sisters/brothers who tirelessly support me
They will get their thanks, that's written on my tomb stone
Life is short and needs to be enjoyed
Everything should be given a try and experience gathered

It's no use for you to diss our lives
The doors will slam behind us when we leave
Young people are wise, what do they want?
I fuck the world and all ya bitches too

Thank you very much! I was gonna use Google Translate but you saved me the trouble!

Yea, that's pretty much his style. The rebel boy, unhappy on how stressful his childhood and teenage way because of school, and strict parents, and unhappy about the world in general.
But I've read that now he's 30+ years old, married with kids, and not so rebel anymore. And doesn't write songs anymore.
