It's actually Minä pidän tanssimisesta. :P (This is the elative singular of the noun form of the verb tanssia.)

Yes, the rules of Finnish grammar can appear very complicated when you're new to the language. But once you've become used to them, everything will be plain sailing because the rules are very consistent, with not many irregularities. 8-)

Yeah, "pitää" (to like) can only be used with nouns. The colloquial verb "tykätä" (to like), can be used with verbs, though. Then it's like this:

Tykkään tanssia.
Tykkään puhua suomea.
Tykkään matkustaa.

But notice that its usage is informal so don't use it in a formal context.
