Finnish is popular here :)

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and I just found it today after receiving a rather touching e-mail from a Finnish friend, who concluded her message with a sentence in her native language.

I have tried to figure that sentence out by looking at a few online dictionaries, but when it turned out that "tappaa" meant "kill," it seemed a good idea to turn to actual speakers of the language.

So, could somebody please translate the following into English?

- Kaikki mika ei vahvista, tappaa.

Thank you for your help.

Don't worry, she's not trying to kill you  .

The sentence means "Everything that doesn't make you stronger, kills you."

Kaikki mikä ei tapa, vahvistaa. = Everything that doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Now this proverb makes sense . But your friend was probably joking, if she wrote it the other way around :).
