Can somebody translate this versus from the song puolet by Apulanta?
Tyhjyydestä raukeuden peittämään pelkoon
jonka toivoi haipuneen jo pois
Turhautuneet sanat joiden piti lohduttaa
tuhannen kerran jälkeen hohkaa kylmyyttään
Thanks in advance!
From the emptiness into the fear covered with listlessness
the one you wished had evaporated already
The frustrated words that were meant to make you feel better
freeze you again for the one thousandth time

Hei:)
I was wondering if somebody could help me with translating this song by Varttina. I understand the first three verses, but then it gets tricky. It's in the Karelian dialect as far as I know.
Mikäpä miulla, mikäpä miulla
Mikä miulla mielessä, mielessä
mikä miulla mielessä mielessä.
Kukapa keskellä, kukapa keskellä
Kuka keskel syäntäin, syäntäin
kuka keskel syäntäin syäntäin.
Kullaiseni keskellä, kullaiseni keskellä
Kultain keskel syäntäin, syäntäin,
kultain keskel syäntäin, syäntäin.
Mut miksipä mie poloinen,
pienipä piikanen itkieni ikävää,
ikävää, valittaini vaikeut, vaikeut.
Vuottaissani veijoani vuottaissani vierellein
Vuotellessain vierellein vierellein,
vuotellessain vierellein vierellein.
Ainoani armahani omaini oikiain,
Ainut armas askelilla askelil,
Oma tieto omil teil, omil teil.
Oisinpa mie mukana oman tieton tietyvil
Oisinpa mie mukana mukana,
oman tieton tietyvil, tietyvil.
Lindusena lenteleisin kullaiseni kantapäil,
Lindusena lenteleisin lentelei,
kullaiseni kantäpäil, kantapäil.
Onkopa onnea, onkopa onnea
Onko miulla onnea, onnea
Onko miulla onnea, onnea

Come to think of it, it would suffice if you could put the lyrics into literary/modern Finnish, you don't have to translate. Or even just explain some of the more incomprehensible bits I'd be very grateful for any help.

Is it enough if I translate each verse in one concise line? Old Karelian is really not my cup of tea when translation is the topic.
What's on my mind?
Who's in the centre of my heart?
My dear in the centre of my heart
But why do I, poor maid, cry my sorrow?
My own man to my side (?) [I am not sure what the
vuot- verb means]
My beau on roads unknown
Wish I was with him
Flying as a bird at his heels
Will I have that luck/happiness?

I believe it's "odottaa". So, "when I'm waiting my man to come to my side" or something.
