frasco -> flask
boião -> no idea, Portuguese unilangers to the rescue!
fadiga -> fatique

convém -> ... [thinking hard].... [using google] ... I can't believe this is a word, like "saudade" believes to be, unique to Portuguese. Let me think more.

Corrigindo/acrescentando algumas definições:

espalmar: to flatten
boião: jar
fadiga: fatigue
convém:
- em frases como "Convém que vás a casa primeiro": you'd better go home first (sugestão)
I do what's better/more convenient/more beneficial to me.
sondagem: poll
"Books permit us to voyage through time, to tap the wisdom of our ancestors."

- It's better to Christ to grow
- It's good to Christ to grow
- It's suitable to Christ to grow
- I hope Christ grows
- Christ is supposed to grow

- It's better to Christ to grow
- It's good to Christ to grow
- It's suitable to Christ to grow
- I hope Christ grows
- Christ is supposed to grow

Ok, the first three sound absolutely hilarious. It is probably "I hope Christ grows." The last one sounds a little funny, but is a plausible sentence depending on the meaning. "I hope Jesus grows." would probably be better to say, as Christ sound so formal, and I can't explain exacly why, but "I hope Christ grows" sounds a little babyish for some reason.

King James Bible depiction of the batlle reads "He [Christ] must increase, but I [Jonh] must decrease."

"must" translates to "deve", it's still sounding ambiguous to me...

I thought deve was more "ought to". "Must" is a stronger word. If something must happen, it is impossible that it does not happen.
