One language or more?

In your opinion should Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian/Montenegrin be considered one language or more? Why?

Socially speaking, (and for the purpose of artificially inflating your language count, don't worry) they are. Linguistically, I find this idea hard to defend without slipping into extreme descriptivism.

But mostly I don't give a fuck either.

It all depends what your aims are. For the purposes of learning, for instance, I would consider it one language with three national standards.

Do you mean I really have to take Montenegro seriously as a nation? We're talking about a country whose entire adult population doesn't even match the payroll of Walmart.

Don't forget the mafia! Actually, if you like gambling you should probably avoid Montenegro. They're bad losers.
