Translation from Midrash and the meaning of (ק״ל)?

Postby Hayy bin Yaqzaan » 2014-04-13, 10:39

I'm attempting to translate a passage from a Midrash, and I'm a bit stuck on a sentence, particular because I can't figure out what the abbreviation (ק״ל) means in this context.

This is the text:
וגם רבותינו ז״ל האריכו במדרש בענין אדם הראשון שכל אותן ק״ל שנה שהיה נזוף בחטאו שהוליד רוחין ושדין ולילין ומזיקין

What I have: "And furthermore, our rabbis, blessed be their memory, have extended [the analysis] in the Midrash regarding the matter of the primordial Adam, concerning them (???), [and] being rebuked for his sin, begot evil spirits, demons, night-spirits, and harming spirits."

Thanks!
