Okay, i try.

In Hungarian, the length of the vowel is always indicated. Long vowels have either a single acute accent mark or a double acute accent mark (stretched umlaut). Short vowels have no mark, or the two-dot umlaut.

Hungarian follows rules of "vowel harmony." Front vowels are: e, ö, and ü. Back vowels are a, o, and u. The vowel "i" is a wild card. The general rule is that words have to have either all front vowels or all back vowels, with no mixing allowed. However, "i" can mix with either category. The rule applies to grammatical endings, but not necessarily to compound words.

In Hungary, all names are given with family names first (Czompo Andor) but outside of Hungary, family names are given last as in English (Andor Czompo).

A, a - aw as in law
Á, á - a as in father
E, e - e as in set

Ő, ő - eu but longer
U, u - u as in duke
Ú, ú - oo as in cool
Ü, ü - i as in machine (with lips protruded as if to whistle)
Ű, ű - eu in feud but longer

C, c - c as in dance (like ts)
Cs, cs - ch as in chug
Cz, cz - c as in dance (ts) Archaic; no longer used in everyday language.
Dz, dz - ds as in feeds
Dzs, dzs - j as in jeans
G, g - g as in go
Gy, gy - dju in adjulation (djy)
J, j - y as in yes
Ly, ly - y as in yes (l is silent)
Ny, ny - ny as in canyon
Q, q - q as cheque (k)
R, r - slightly rolled once (rr)
S, s - s as in sugar (sh) -- ss also is s as in sugar

I'd propose:

Vaszilkó Anita [vɒsilkoː ɒnitɒ] - ווסילקו אניטה [vasilko anita]
Zámbó Vaszilkó Balázs [zaːmbo vɒsilkoː bɒlaːʒ] - זמבו ווסילקו בלז' [zambo vasiklo balaʒ]
Dyleach [dɪlək]/[dɪləx] :?: - דילך / דילק [dilex]/[dilek] :?:
Cornissa [koɹnɪsə] - קורניסה [koʁnisa]

I'm not sure how to pronounce the English names (especially Dyleach)...

I'd pronounce Dyleach /daɪlɑk/, but that wouldn't change the transliteration. :P

That's right. But I think that I would nevertheless use a double yud for /aɪ/ - but maybe that's "Yiddish" thinking... :hmm:

I think perhaps חסאן זייא would be good (although this letter is usually transliterated ד, because of the similarity to its Arabic pronunciation).

It is correct, but we most probably would write שדאד - this seems to me better, it is based on the spelling of the Arabic name شداد so we'd know how to read it.

Thanks, Formiko and Babelfish.
Is it Hebrew or Arabic? The name, I mean. I thought the root was Hebrew, but some people have told me that it's actually Arabic, so I'm confused.
And do you know the meaning? Last time I asked somebody told me that it meant "the one who robbed" or something like that...Haha.

If it's the same name, it probably refers to Shaddād, a king from A Thousand and One Arabian Nights, which is an Arabic name. Not sure what it means though (incidentally, are your parents Muslim? The Quran says that Shaddād was a king of occult idolaters or something, it'd be like calling a Jewish baby Gomorrah  Not that it's a bad name, I think it sounds beautiful, but just curious.)

I believe it's מלכיצדק, actually.
Sorry, ILuvEire, your transliteration would be correct but I'm quite sure I know the name, and its English transliteration isn't precise here - should probably be "maliktsedek".

Ah, you're right, it comes from מלכי-צדק, I should have known that, gosh-darn it. Also, a question, in dictionaries and things, I see a hyphen that's higher up, but on my Hebrew keyboard, I can only get a normal in-the-middle hyphen. How do you do the high one, and what is used in Israeli books?

I took a look at a modern translated book and it also uses the high hyphen (I was under the impression it's used mainly in the Bible and in old Hebrew books, but I was wrong). I don't now how to type it directly, though; I thought I found it bound to Right Alt + - using the on-screen keyboard, but it's actually a little horizontal line above a letter, e.g. אֿ, I don't know what it is...
Well, it does appear in the Character Map, and can be entered using Alt+0206: מלכי־צדק.
But after all the ordeal, this name is actually written as a single word to the best of my knowledge :P

A short section on the hyphen versus maqaf issue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_punctuation#Hyphen_and_maqaf. I myself only started using it when I created a new Hebrew keyboard layout from scratch and included it.
