Please translate into English

Auf ihre Art hatten wir beide unsere Nase voll.

My guess is: We were both fed up with/sick of her kind/type.
But I'm not confident that I am correct.

Thanks in advance.

What's the context? Without it, it sounds weird to me.
Please correct my mistakes!

Thanks for your response!
It's from the lyrics of a song called Laura, by Prinz Pi.
Here's a link to the lyrics:
http://www.songtexte.com/songtext/prinz ... 91859.html

The song, I believe, is about the singers relationship with a girl, Laura, who just died in an accident I think.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the "ihre" is referring to there. :hmm:

So in this case there are at least two possible English translations of the sentence, depending on how we interpret the lyrics?
Is my guess in the original post a possibility, or is that just plain wrong?

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I think you're right, it is about the singer's relationship with a girl who died in a car accident.

My guess is that the line means something like 'we (both of us) were fed up with things, each of us in their own way (each of us for different reasons?)'. It would at least make sense in this context.

This website is great for song translation:
http://lyricstranslate.com/en/laura-laura.html-3

Also in there, you can upload songs and make requests for them to be translated into any language. :D
Also it's always favourable that native speakers rate the translations, so others know how well they are.
