What are your suggestions or ideas to make this subforum a better place for both natives and students of Spanish?

This forum it's quite alright the way it is now, but we lack a course of Spanish, although I guess there are a lot available online, as well as sound files.

Anyways, I hope Spanish Learners can give us a clue of what they feel this forum lacks :).

It could be a good idea if we open new threads concerning Spanish dialects, like on the Arabic forum, emphasizing on idioms and slang, I mean, aspects of the language that foreign learners don't learn at the classroom.

It is a nice idea, although the differences between dialects of Spanish are just some words or slang sayings. We'll have to find an organized way of puttin them here... i think it should be a common effort between speakers of different countries.

We have here people from Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, Argentine and Spain I think, so there's already much work to do ;).

Table of content, Index

Postby 0stsee » 2007-09-19, 1:21

I know what you can do for the Spanish forum!

Make a table of content or index of the themes available!
Ali does it in the Persian forum. It is very very helpful, particularly since there is a vast array of subjects that have been dealt with here.

Well, I've taken a look at alijsh's table of contents and it's something really useful. It organizes all the threads by topics. I'll do the same as soon as I can. (probably tomorrow or next thursday). Thanks for your suggestion :)

I want to ask you something guys:

There's an old thread I used to set as "sticky" : Preguntas sobre el español.

http://home.unilang.org/main/forum/viewtopic.php?t=390

It condenses requests, questions and doubts about the Spanish language in a single thread. Should I set it back as sticky? Or you'd rather let it drown in the sea of forgetness? Some people would rather post individual threads instead of spending some time by looking for them in "preguntas sobre el español".

However, translations must be posted in its respective thread.

You can make it as a sticky, if you want to.

Unfortunately the search engine here only refers to the thread, without even showing which page.

That's why I'm a fan of creating a new post for a new theme rather than posting in such an all-encompassing thread.
