Long time no see! :D

A friend of mine wrote:
"valoda tiešām neizskatās grūta"

I pretty much understand what he's saying, but I don't seem to be able to break down the "grammar" of the word neizskatās. I know that ne- is a negative prefix, but izkataas? What is the infinitive? Izkatiities? Doesn't that mean partake?

it means to look (like), it has two prefixes (the other is -iz-) and you're right about everything else (except that you misspelled the word)

Oh yeah, I remember, Latvian is the other language (with Swedish and Estonian) which makes that word exactly the same way as Hungarian. "to outlook" = to look like
