I keep on coming across the subject of pitch accent in Latvian.

Is it comparable to Norwegian tonal accent and Danish stöd?

I don't know about Danish and Norwegian, quick research suggests that it might be somewhat similar, yes.

I've read from somewhere that tones in Latvian correspond to second and third length degree of Estonian. I.e Estonian also has tones then. Question is: is that Finnic influence on Latvian or Baltic influence on Estonian?
